Today, I am taking the time to work on my first custom invitations since my wedding! As I was brainstorming I remembered what a fabulous time I had designing my wedding invitations nearly 3 years ago. I designed everything from the flower, to the custom set of icons— that was the easy part! Putting the invitations together— boy, was that A LOT of manual labor, cutting, rivets, Xacto knife all the flowers you see on the front (see below). OH… and did i mention, hand made folders for the invitation to slide into. Yeah, that was fun.

Then, I printed and punched out the custom seal and labels on the envelope, along with my custom graphic of our wedding rings for a stamp (ordered from stamps.com).

The RSVP were non-traditional, I let my guests write or draw their response in. I remember looking forward to the mail EVERY DAY! They were so much fun and my guests were creative! :)

We have finalized their logo and they are ready to enter the world of Photography!

The final logo that was chosen was a combination of fonts and ornate design taken from the first set of logo options. Jamie Michelle has selected a deep purple and silver color pallet to represent the modern and elegant bride that she will be working with. Take a look at the final logo and be sure to look for Jamie Michelle projects in the future!

We connected with Jamie through one of our favorite clients, Jen and Jody Photography. Jamie is working hard to establish herself as a credible Photographer who will be focusing on the wedding industry. Jamie is directing her work towards the elegant and modern bride. As designers we were able to gather this information and visually represent the vision for her company through a series of logo designs. The concepts that we came up with are organic based with a smooth font that will reveal a confident but refreshing feel. As we proceed with the design process Jamie will point us to the direction she prefers and we will continue with another set of logos. Check out the first design series and watch for the final logo to be posted in the next week.

One of our fantastic clients, Jen and Jody Photography, have provided us with multiple opportunites to utilize their gorgeous photos.  This past week we were asked to come up with a 3 5/8″ x  1″ ad to represent their company as a sponsor in the Jewish Film Festival.  This was not necessarily a huge project that would require a lot of our time. However it was another great opportunity to stay connected to our client and provide them the necessary tools when needed. We enjoy any chance to merge our design techniques with the exquisite photographs Jen and Jody consistently produce.
