Here is a break down of what you can expect to find on the new site.  Architechtronics was established with absolute dedication and detail to 5 areas of technology, they are; Home Control, Theater, Audio, Lighting and Energy Savings. We have created a distinct and recognizable icon series to help correlate these 5 areas of technology throughout the site.  You can use them to learn more about each section. In addition to the 5 areas of technology we have also added a safety and security option as well.

The services section will provide options for your home, condo, or business and then help the user know how to get started. The viewer can also take some time to look through past and present client pictures. These images can be found in the projects section of the web site.

One of the most important aspects of this web site is the ability to reference products that Architechtronics uses and stay up-to-date with the latest advancements. Simply reference the learn section of the website to view the product selection, and then click on the image to learn more about the product. There are also suggestions for related products.

When designing the product and project sections we found that adding an external window with the detailed information and images helped to focus the attention of the viewer. When you click on any of the products a small window appears with more information about the product. It is a simple yet direct way for the user to see and read more.

We are excited about the outcome of this new site, it demonstrates a lot of hard work and hopefully it will be successful for Architechtronics!

Recently Immix Design was asked to design a logo for a series of special events that will be taking place at Architechtronics. The objective was to create a mark that would represent the given title, “After5″ as well as the specific event. The first event will be the Eastside Green Drinks, scheduled to be held at Architechtronics on November 19th, 2009 at the Architechtronics show room.

We first broke down the two words, “after” and “five” and decided it would be most clear and effective to use the numeric five, instead of the word. The font selection for the word, “after” was slightly challenging in the sense that we wanted something that was fun and unique but also significant. We chose Santa Fe LET for the font, because we believe that it was the best solution to our typographic problem. Andes Regular was chosen as the font for the 5, it creates a balance with the Santa Fe LET.

Often times, simply manipulating the actual words to transform into the final logo can be quite successful. However, we thought it would be a nice touch to reverse a clock out of the number 5, which is also set at 5pm. It helps to reinforce the concept and informative visual of “after5″. The date of this event has also been added to the logo as well as the green technology image.

In the future the After5 logo, will be used for different events with different color schemes and unique attributes to help specify the event.  The simplicity of the logo will allow for flexibility and adaptability. We look forward to sustaining an overall concept that is consistent but also applicable for the next event!
